Red Dot Recruitment are currently working with one of the UK’s largest energy providers and we are looking for Call Handlers to join the team in their Newcastle City Centre office. The role will involve handling a high volume of inbound calls and outbound calls, and it is an opportunity for you to join a global organisation with excellent job security and progression opportunities in this difficult time.

 

The Call Handler role:

As a Call Handler, you will be responsible for dealing with customers who have found themselves in debt and unable to pay their bills. This will give you an opportunity to build on your customer service knowledge and really make a difference with every customer that you speak to. Your daily duties will involve:

  • Dealing with both outbound & inbound calls from customers who are in debt
  • Working through a set data list, ensuring all calls get made within a set time frame
  • Understanding root cause behind debt, implementing payment plans to recover debt as quickly & sustainably as possible.
  • Attempting to recover the debt owed – either in full or partially
  • Following a scripted conversation to ensure company processes are followed accurately
  • Updating account profiles on our in-house systems
  • Maintaining a professional image for ourselves and our clients

  • Basic salary of £20,500, rising to £21,500 + Bonus

Requirements of the Call Handler role:

  • A minimum of 6 months experience within the Call Centre or Collections sector.
  • Clear criminal and credit records
  • References to cover the last 3 years of employment.
  • Good tenure in previous roles.
  • Computer literate with the ability to multitask and use multiple systems at any one time.
